Mosi-oa-Tunya or as popularly known, the Victoria Falls is the world’s greatest waterfall and is considered one of earth’s eight natural wonders. It has a height about twice that of Niagara Falls and produces the worlds largest curtain of falling water. The Victoria Falls is located in & between Zimbabwe and Zambia, and its source is the majestic Zambezi River.

  • For your lodgings there are many options to choose from whether you are on the Zimbabwean side (Victoria Falls) or Zambian side (Livingstone). From five star hotels & lodges to other great alternatives, you can find a great lodging. The accommodations for tourists include Hotels, Safari Lodges, Guest Lodges, villas, guest houses, property rentals.
  • Accommodation prices on average range from $US 60 to $US 700 per night
  • To enjoy an array of activities you need to budget about $800 per person for activities. If you want to save on your budget consider doing activities as a group and the costs will go down considerably.
  • For activities like aerial views on helicopter rides budget a considerable amount.
  • English is the medium language of exchange understood by most people in the area.
  • The local people are very friendly and easy to communicate with. It’s an open society.
  • Baboons and monkeys are all over the area, so expect your edibles to be snatched
  • There are local airports which are the closest to the Falls i.e The Victoria Falls Airport in Zimbabwe & Harry Mwanga Nkumbula International Airport in Zambia. These are however relatively smaller as larger international planes land at the countries’ larger airports, in Harare & Lusaka
  • Zambian local currency is the Kwacha, which is about ten times weaker than the $US
  • Zimbabwe uses a multi currency system which is dominated by the $US Dollar
